Pink Himalayan Salt is used in Combat Fuels EAA+ as an electrolyte the question is often asked, why didn’t you just use normal salt. Let’s give you a thorough run down on all things pink, salty and from the Himalayas.

How is salt pink

It’s made from rock crystals of salt that have been mined from areas close to the Himalayas. It gets its pinkish colour from trace minerals in the salt such as magnesium, potassium and calcium.

Why is it better than ‘normal salt’

It contains roughly a third less sodium than table salt containing 1680 milligrams of sodium per teaspoon compared to table salt containing 2360 milligrams per teaspoon. Pink Himalayan salt contains trace amounts of Zinc, Iron, Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium of which standard slats do not.

Why is it in EAA+

As you train you lose electrolytes through sweat and alter your Ph levels. 300mg (the dose in our EAA+) consumed during your workout aids keeping your electrolyte levels up and your Ph levels balanced. It’ll help with hydration, nerve and muscle function too!

Are there any side effects

excessive consumption can lead to hypertension however; the dose is so minimal in EAA+ you shouldn’t experience any side effects.
