Follow our step but step guide below to make our incredible 2 Ingredient Bagel With High Protein Filling!
What You Will Need
-2 Cups of self-raising flour.
-1 to 1.5 cups 0% fat greek yoghurt (Vegan greek style yoghurt works too!).
-Combat Fuel Premium Vegan Protein.
-200ml Oat Milk (Optional).
-1 Egg for egg wash (Optional).
-Seeds to top bagels (Optional).
Firstly set your oven to 190° fan. Now to make the dough, it’s so quick and easy, in a bowl add your two cups of self-raising flour and 1 cup of yoghurt. Mix it together with a solid spatula, be rough with it and continue until you have the consistency in the photo below. The dough should be firm and not too wet. You may add more yoghurt if needed to acquire this consistency.
Sprinkle some flour over a cool worktop and drop the dough onto it. Sprinkle a little more flour to the top of the dough, kneed for 5 minutes. Ensure the dough is no longer sticky to the touch and is somewhat elastic.
Divide the dough into 8 equal balls and roll out into thin sausage shapes roughly 1cm thick. Of course now make into a bagel shape and pop onto a tray lined with grease proof paper or baking parchment. To add colour whilst cooking you can now add an egg wash or melted vegan butter plus some seeds for decoration. See how we did it below, Your 2 ingredient bagels are now ready for the oven! Pop them in for 10 minutes until cooked.
Whilst your bagels are cooking pop a scoop of our vegan whey into a blender along with 150-200ml of water milk or vegan milk and blend into a thick paste. This should take around 20 seconds if that! Leave it in the blender and put to one side ready to pipe into the middle of your 2 ingredient bagel!
After removing from the oven allow your 2 ingredient bagels to cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes. Once done cut open and leave for a further 10 minutes.
Fill a piping bag with your Combat Fuel vegan protein ‘frosting’ and pipe it in. Or just spoon it in! Add your desired extras like some summer berries as we did and there you have it. ‘The Best 2 Ingredient Bagel With High Protein Filling’.
